The credit crunch had a dramatic impact on consumer attitudes and spending patterns during summer 2009, with the majority opting for Staying In, being the New Going Out!' with the weather for most, whilst not sizzling, at least being OK overall!

The 13th annual Gastro Alfresco campaign was at the heart of this trend last summer encouraging consumers to follow a Mediterranean lifestyle and live life alfresco 'at home'!

One of the biggest campaign hits was the Alfresco Experience RoadShow reaching 1.5 million people at Tesco, Sainsbury's, ASDA & Morrisons delivering 830k quality samples in a retail theatre environment!
